Hi,
There is no support for GTK, since GTK is a dead project for a while and in combination with .NET it does not make much sense.
Phalanger takes advantage of whole .NET ecosystem, and it natively supports desktop WinForm applications. WinForms are maintain by Microsoft, also there are plenty of additional controls and tutorials. It works on Windows as on Linux/Mono.
