MySQL Managed Extension for Phalanger 2.0 Beta 3 availability?
Hi all,
Is there an estimated date for the release of the MySQL MySQL Managed Extension for Phalanger 2.0 Beta 3?
There are nice enhancements and new features in Beta 3, but I do need the MySQL Managed Extension, so I'm stuck with Beta 2... Too bad.
TIA,
Christophe

I think you should download last nightly build of the MySQL managed extension. I use it with phalanger 2.0 beta 3 and it works perfect.

Downloading the latest nightly build didn't help me. I still can't get Drupal up and running, because there is a configuration error (and I have followed all the directions I could find.) Perhaps there was a step I missed?

i tried drupal 5.1 and it worked.. hmm.. not exactly.. i couldn't create admin user, because it displays message "illegal character in user name".
However, it created tables and succesfully connects to MySQL database.
What configuration error do you get?

TheMasketFerret - have you tried restarting the world wide web publishing service after installing the nightly build?
My experience - downloaded Phalanger Beta 3 and the 'Current Release' of the MySQL Managed Extension (MySQL-2.0-Beta2.zip - Thu Aug 31 2006 at 10:50 PM) and got a 'Could not load' error. Read tomasp's comment, thought 'aha' and downloaded the nightly build, installed it over the top - still got error. Then thought 'well it's always best to turn it off and on again', restarted the www publishing service, and everything sprung into life.
Well - didn't expectly 'spring' - got a load of other errors, but they're ones I can cope with. Very impressed with this project so far.
