Phalanger 2.0 + phpbb3 + MsSql 2005 Express

Hi,
I tried to install a phpbb3 with Phalanger 2.0 on a Win2k3 Server. With the march 2008 release even the sample application did not work (many invalid operation errors). Then I tried beta 4. The samples worked and I could start the phpbb3 installation page, but it always tells me I have no MsSQL (or any other dbms) installed, although I have a SQL Server 2005 Express Edition installed.
Did I miss some configuration settings?
