Conversion Engine

I was wondering if it is possible using the PhpCodeProvider and CSharpCodeProvider to convert PHP source to C# source using the CodeCompileUnit. I played around with it a little, but I kept getting a NullReferenceException when calling the Parse method on the PhpCodeProvider. Anyone done anything like this, or know if its possible? This is mainly for hobby.
