VS INSTALL PROBLEMS WITH WINFORMS

Hi,  I am brand new to Phalanger so I am sure that I have done something wrong.  I downloaded VS 2008 Shell and the VSI integration modules.  Everything loads fine and I can select Phalanger Winform project.  It comes up with a new form.  I can make changes (adding buttons etc...).  I can build and view the form. 

My problem comes when I try to save the project.  A window box comes up and says " The operations could not be completed.  No such interface supported." 

I have re-installed several times.  I have searched the forums exhaustively trying to find a fix and have found none.  Please help.
