Potential new user here :)

Postby QuickOla » January 1st, 2013, 3:37 am

I have downloaded the free trial version of the PHP Tools and been playing around with it a bit. I must say it has a lot of potential and I like the fact that my company can use one development tool ( Visual Studio ) for all our development projects and also because I want to start developing using TypeScript :)

There is a couple of issues I have noticed that I was wondering if you have any imidiate plans on adressing.

1: Remote debugging. Do you have any time schedule for when debugging on a remote server will be implementet?

2: Override intellisence on objects. i.e in PhpED you can just put a /** @var myObject */ on the preceding line and code completion will automatically recognice the object as of type myObject.

3: Smarty Template engine intellisence support?

Best regards and Happy New Year!!

Hello,
big Thanks for trying our tools and for your feedback!

1. Remote debugging is currently ready and is in testing. This feature will be available in upcoming version (v1.6, in few weeks).

2. Improvements on IntelliSense, including e.g. extended PHPDoc for variables, is also planned for the version 1.6.

3. Smarty is planned but with no release date yet. We will keep you informed.

Thanks again, and Happy New Year!
