Script debugging in non-IE browsers

I know that this doesn't currently work and that script debugging currently only works in Internet Explorer, but I was hoping to bring it up as a possible thing to finally get working because IE sucks and I don't want to use it. So can we have this for Chrome? Please?
What I know is that Chrome requires a startup parameter:
This starts Chrome with the debug protocol enabled on port 9222. More details here: https://chromedevtools.github.io/devtools-protocol/
Seeing as this all works in IE surely there is only a few tweaks required to get it up and running in Chrome?
As always, thanks for your efforts.
