I use Visual Studio full-time for C# development, always with the firewall up. I've literally got it running 8hrs+/day, every day, and never turn off my firewall. This issue has never arisen. It unquestionably only happens when I have a PHP project opened. (I'm working in Visual Studio as we speak, and have been all day - never any issues, until I open PHP).

Hi, maybe I have encountered different problem than you. There seems to be a lot of problems with high CPU usage in VS2017 https://developercommunity.visualstudio ... s2017.html . I guess I could add this to their long list.

Yeah - it looks like none of the ones listed there are this one though. This one is only when using PHP projects with Firewall active. (Not otherwise with Firewall active, not with PHP projects without Firewall).

Here's proof that this only affects PHP projects.
