Another VS2017 Crashing Problem

Postby silas2 » August 31st, 2017, 2:22 pm

I'm not sure if this is Devsense related as I haven't tried with it uninstalled, but when I work on .Net/C# projects it falls down less - but still does crash.
Debugging PHP /
New PC running Win10 Pro, minimum other stuff running.
Devesense php.vs.1.24.10015.2017.vsix
VS2017 Community - just got the latest update
Event Viewer says either clr.dll or vsdebug.dll is offending library
I've removed the StylusPentouch as suggested here:https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/problem/32014/vs2017-crashes-randomly.html
Any other suggestions?

Just did a complete re-install, same problem. Falls over when inspecting variables...maybe winding back to VS2015 might be best route.

Hi,

Thanks for the report. It seems VS team has recognized it as an issue in 2017 and there are working on a fix. But I'm not quite sure what might be causing it.

They've discussed it also in this thread.

Does something changed or do you still experience it, or you've switched back to VS2105?

Thanks,
