phtml files

Am I missing a setting or just not thinking of something to have php tools in visual studio treat the php within a phtml file the same way as it would a file with php extension?

None of the code help works within a phtml file for me but I create a php file and paste the exact same code in I get all the code help.

Is there something I am missing?

Thanks for the question. You just need to setup *.phtml file extension to be handled by PHP editor. Please check this guide https://docs.devsense.com/#file-extension-being-opened-by-php-editor
