I would have few more questions:
1. does it happen in VS2012 version too?
2. if you open new instance of VS, open your project and try IntelliSense - parsing starts right?
3. if you close opened solution (after trying IntelliSense) and open a project again - parsing does not start?
4. if you unload/reload project - parsing starts?

Thanks,

I'll make observations and write. So far it did it just once, the next opening didn't do it. It maybe a synchronization issue.

Thank you,

This "parsing engine" starts when you open some php file, then
- it reads content of Solution Explorer and parses php files found there
- and it watches for changes in Solution Explorer, so newly added projects/files are parsed as well

So from what you described, it seems that the "watching" does not work, if a project is opened (sometimes)

Okay, now it does not work altogether. I can't see any logic in it.

Here are some answers:
1. does it happen in VS2012 version too?
-- I don't use it.
2. if you open new instance of VS, open your project and try IntelliSense - parsing starts right?
-- No
3. if you close opened solution (after trying IntelliSense) and open a project again - parsing does not start?
-- No. It doesn't matter if there are any open files or not.
4. if you unload/reload project - parsing starts?
-- Every time.

The solution has 5 projects and it loads for about 20-30 seconds. Since now I am home, and it does not work at all, when I was at the office (where the solution loads faster) it worked most of the time. So it does seem related to loading speed.

Just opened a single project solution and installisense started parsing. Maybe it's a multi-project problem.

Nope, it's random. I can't explain it.

I was trying to replicate this on all machines I have available but without success, it worked all the time:/

What other extensions do you have? Do you have VS Ultimate 12.0.21005.1 REL ?

Would it be possible to get whole solution for testing purposes? We'd sign NDA if required.

Thanks,

Sure, go ahead.
By the way, it does this with all my projects. I can send you one, but I am not sure it will help. If you send it now, I'll test it right away.

Jakub has to prepare the package. Meanwhile if you could send me some project that does this to you it would be great. It probably won't replicate the issue, but at least we rule out some possibilities.

Are all your projects on network share?
