VS2013 Create Project from Source

Postby sneps » September 23rd, 2013, 5:56 am

Hello,

I am unable to create a Project from source if PHP Tools (PHP.VS13.1.9.4612) is activated as i get the following error:

Create Project Failure
The Wizard failed to load. The registry values may be incorrect. Please contact support or reinstall visual studio.

Could not load assembly:
Microsoft.VisualStudio.ImportProjectFolderWizard, Version=12.0.0.0,
Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a
and class:
Microsoft.VsWizards.ImportProjectFolderWizard.VC.PageManager

The fault could be in the registry or it could be that the assembly itself is missing.
Exception detaul:
The constructor for the type
"Microsoft.VsWizards.ImportProjectFolderWizard.VC.PageManager"
was not found.

The error occurs only with activated PHP Tools. What can i do? I need to get this fixed before my trial expires in 27 days, as i will test it form my company.

Thank you
sneps

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this misbehaviour. Note it is still Preview version, so we are expecting similar issues.

We'll try to fix this one asap. Otherwise, please feel free to ask for extended trial.

Best,
Jakub

EDIT: you can create project from existing files in different ways, e.g.
File - New Project - PHP Project, drag&drop files into the solution explorer from windows explorer
or
File - New Project - PHP Project, in the same location as your existing file are, click "Show All Files" icon in Solution Explorer, select files/folders you would like to have in your project, right mouse click and "Include"

There is an updated preview for VS2013 which fixes the problem with import wizard.
