Text Highlighting Bug in editor

Not sure if you know about this but when editing mixed PHP/HTML tag names that begin with the letter "s" are not highlighted properly. The first character is the only one highlighted.

Hi,

I've tried this with the latest version without being able to reproduce the issue.

I know there was a similar bug in a previous versions; and it was fixed in 1.8.4452 (see http://www.devsense.com/products/php-to ... /changelog for more details).

Could you please ensure you are running the latest version?

Thank you,

Hi Jakub

I was just having a think about this highlighting issue. A thought crossed my mind - perhaps there was a conflict with a version of Phalanger that I had installed a couple of months ago. I had removed the Phalanger extension from Visual Studio some time ago. I had not however uninstalled Phalanger using Windows Add/Remove programs.

Sure enough my spidey sense was right :)

Removing Phalanger and restarting Visual Studio fixes the highlighting issue.

By the way - some thoughts from a customer:

Phalanger is tricky to get working and I am sure many people do not bother setting it all up correctly.

Have you considered creating an equivalent "php.exe -S localhost:8080"?

That would allow people to very quickly see if there codebase runs under Phalanger. It would also allow easy setup with PHP tools given this is what you do with the real PHP interpreter by default.

If this alsready exists then please let me know.

Great! Yes, Phalanger overrides some components, that are used by PHP Tools. However Phalanger may contain older version of these components. Then PHP Tools respects current Phalanger setup.

Built-in server in Phalanger is almost not possible. Phalanger is heavily using ASP.NET, so we would need to include complete ASP.NET-based web server. We may build bigger setup package, with IIS Express and preconfigured Phalanger.

Thanks!
