Testing/Developing on Phone

Postby rg1220 » July 14th, 2013, 11:18 pm

Hi, just wondering if there was a way to access debugging from inside the network? I would like to test on my phone (for mobile) to make sure it looks right and works correctly. However, it appears to only allow localhost. Do I need to change settings somewhere or is this just not possible at the moment?

Hi,

sure! that just depends on server configuration. I assume you are developing using php build in server. I actually haven't try it myself but I guess it shouldn't be a problem to access this development server from your network, you'll just have to configure firewall to allow it.

Probably sounds dumb, but I don't know how to set this up. I have done the most basic install/setup. Currently to access the pages via localhost with a port number. Attempting to access my own IP address with the port number from the same machine running VS doesn't connect. Thoughts?
