Unable to debug

Postby simx » October 22nd, 2014, 4:47 pm

Hi guys,

I was having a few issues with VS2013 so I uninstalled it and installed it again, I installed PHP Tools again and added in my registration info but now I am unable to debug, after hitting F5 my browser navigates to:
Code: Select all
http://localhost:6191/index.php?XDEBUG_SESSION_START=EB5734B2

But all I ever get is:

Code: Select all
Unable to connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost:6191.

No matter what I try, it never seems to work.

Any ideas guys?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

What server do you have setup in project properties?

I assume it's either php build-in or IIS express. Try to switch it to different one to see if the problem isn't there. Also please check if the port is open in the firewall.

From the message it looks like not just debugging, but also plain run( Ctrl+F5 ) is not working for you, is that right?

Thanks

Would it be possible to arrange a time so you could TeamViewer into my machine and have a quick look as I'm totally lost as nothing seems to be working.

Thanks

OK.... guess not.

I've tried your above suggestions and nothing worked, what can I do now or is all lost for me?

Hi,

If your browser is unable to connect to localhost:6191, it means the web server is not running or is blocked by firewall.

Please go to project properties and check what server do you use. I recommend the first option: "PHP 5.4 built-in web server"

Thanks,

Hi there,

I tried what you suggested but it never worked, but what did work was to change it to "Use Local IIS Express"

Thanks

Hi simx,

Sorry about late response to your TeamViewer request. I was outside of office at that time. I'm glad you got it working and thanks for sharing solution for the issue.

Give us know if you'd need any other assistance.

Thanks!
